Are you a master of precision looking to build more than just budgets? At Trimerge Construction Group, we believe in empowering our people to reach their full potential while delivering world-class commercial renovations that exceed every client expectation. We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented Construction Estimator who takes immense pride in their accuracy, cost-analysis expertise, and strategic bidding to join our high-performance team.
If you are a pre-construction specialist with a "can-do" attitude—someone who views blueprints as a puzzle to be solved and enjoys the challenge of balancing competitive pricing with uncompromising quality—we want to meet you. Join a culture that prioritizes your well-being and professional growth, and help us build something different every day in an environment where your excellence is truly valued!
Responsibilities:
As a Project Estimator, you’ll be the engine behind our success. Your expertise will bridge the gap between a blueprint and a finished product, ensuring every project is built on a foundation of accuracy and excellence.
• Project Cost Estimation | Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and time needed for construction projects including metal framing, drywall, painting, acoustical ceilings, demolition, utilizing project take-off software and historical data.
• Bid Preparation | Compile detailed and competitive bids based on the cost estimates, ensuring all aspects of the project are accounted for and align with client expectations.
• Plan and Specification Review | Thoroughly review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project scope and requirements, identifying any potential challenges or discrepancies.
• Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination |Solicit and evaluate bids from vendors and subcontractors, ensuring their proposals are competitive and align with project specifications and budget.
• Cost Analysis and Value Engineering | Conduct cost analysis to identify areas for potential savings and propose value engineering solutions to optimize project cost-efficiency without compromising quality.
• Client Communication | Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients to discuss project scope, budget, and any changes or updates to the estimates.
• Risk Assessment |Identify potential risks and challenges in the project and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring estimates account for unforeseen circumstances.
• Collaboration |Work closely with general contractors and project managers to ensure estimates align with project goals and timelines, facilitating a smooth transition from planning to execution.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years experience in commercial estimating.
• Experience in analyzing project blueprints and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with project managers and architects to ensure project scope and budget alignment.
• Proven track record of preparing detailed bid proposals that reflect competitive pricing and quality standards.
• Strong skills in gathering essential data and assessing project requirements for accurate estimates.
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and material costs to inform precise estimates.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for precise pricing information.
• Ability to review and refine estimates based on feedback and project changes to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
