Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Cairo, Egypt
Start Date: August 2026

School Description:
An established international school in Cairo is seeking an experienced and passionate English Teacher to join its academic faculty. The school follows the American Curriculum and is committed to developing strong literacy, critical thinking, and persuasive communication skills within a diverse, high-achieving learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English Language Arts across Middle and/or High School in line with American Curriculum standards
  • Deliver a balanced programme covering Literature, Composition, Grammar, and Vocabulary
  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet diverse student needs
  • Use modern teaching strategies, including educational technology and project-based learning
  • Assess student progress using criterion-referenced grading and provide constructive feedback
  • Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and extracurricular activities such as debate or literary clubs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, English Education, Literature, or a related field
  • Recognised teaching qualification or valid teaching licence (US, Canada, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience teaching English Language Arts within the American Curriculum
  • Ability to inspire a love of reading and develop advanced writing skills
  • Strong organisational, classroom management, and communication skills
