Job Summary:

Sr. Consultant, US Healthcare Strategy

The Sr. Consultant, US Healthcare Strategy will support the strategic development, implementation, and ongoing optimization of healthcare benefits initiatives for the company’s U.S. workforce. You will be responsible for driving innovation in healthcare offerings, plan design, and vendor management, with a focus on improving health outcomes, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance. You will need to have strong analytical, technical, and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to manage complex projects and collaborate across multiple functions and partners.

What Will You Do?

  • Stay up to date with the development of new healthcare designs, networks and approaches to achieve optimal outcomes for employees and the company.
  • Ability to manage and collaborate with national healthcare vendors on initiatives aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Ability to benchmark, develop, and deploy medical and pharmacy plan design and clinical offerings.
  • Incorporate network optimization and population health strategy into overall healthcare strategy.
  • Analyze healthcare metrics and prepare reports to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Assist with the monitoring of population health, clinical pharmacy, and disease management programs, identify gaps and develop solutions.
  • Assist with the management of processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of programs, plan designs, and policies.
  • Partner with project management and service delivery teams to implement new programs.
  • Support strategic integration of direct hospital contracts with national healthcare vendors.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5 or more years of progressive experience in healthcare strategy, consulting, or benefits management within a large, complex organization and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of self-funded healthcare, employee benefits plan design, insurance products, and regulatory environment.
  • Analytical and technical expertise.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership presence and stakeholder management abilities.

Education:

  • B.S. Degree in healthcare management, Actuarial Science, HR, Finance, or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
