Job Description

About the Role

Career Puck is looking for a highly detail-oriented, curious, and reliable QA & Product Insights Specialist to help us improve product quality and understand real user behavior. This is a 20-hour per week , part-time role ideal for someone who enjoys investigating issues, documenting bugs, and spotting patterns in product usage.

In this role, you’ll review FullStory sessions to identify bugs or friction points, write clear and actionable Linear tickets, support manual QA testing for new features, and collaborate with our Product and Engineering teams. You’ll be key in helping us maintain a delightful, consistent user experience across the platform.

What You’ll Do

  • Review FullStory sessions to identify bugs, UX issues, and unexpected behavior

  • Write detailed and structured bug reports in Linear (reproduction steps, expected vs. actual behavior, screenshots, severity, etc.)

  • Support manual QA testing prior to releases and after hotfixes

  • Help validate engineering fixes by re-testing resolved tickets

  • Proactively surface user patterns or product insights that support product improvements

  • Join a weekly Zoom sync (15–30 minutes) with Product/CX to review top findings

  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, CX)

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

  • Strong attention to detail—you spot inconsistencies others miss

  • Experience with VA, QA, bug reporting, or CS/support ticket documentation

  • Clear written communication

  • Ability to work U.S. business hours for part of your shift

  • Reliable internet connection and a professional Zoom presence at least once a week

  • Comfortable working independently and staying organized

  • Curious mindset—enjoys digging into user behavior and patterns

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience using FullStory, Linear, or any ticketing system

  • Background in SaaS, customer success, or product operations

Hours & Schedule

  • ~20 hours per week

  • Flexible schedule, but must align at least some hours with U.S. working hours

  • Weekly Zoom check-in required

Why Join Career Puck?

  • Work closely with a fast-moving startup building the next generation of recruiting tools

  • Direct impact on product quality and customer experience

  • Collaborative team that values ownership, autonomy, and curiosity

  • Opportunity to grow into QA, product operations, or product insights roles
