Adrale International

Our activities

ADRALE has set up international partnerships with non-governmental organisations such as the Chain of Hope (Paris) and international organisations such as the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC Geneva) to promote local anaesthesia in countries with limited resources or in conflict zones.

These sessions are organised at the request of representatives of the National Scientific Societies for Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, with the support of groups of local referral doctors, who will in turn be responsible for passing on the techniques they have learned to their peers using the TOT (Training Of Teachers) method.

These actions take place mainly in French- and English-speaking Africa, but also in the Middle East and South America.

ADRALE international relies on agroup of Ambassador Doctors and Technicians (TOT2), from several countries, who are volunteers, multi-country, multi-faith and cross-border, in order to promote their enthusiasm for sharing their knowledge in the field. These experts multiply the training activities by forming referent groups in their turn, ensuring the sustainability of the programme and a greater impact of the learning methodology.

ADRALE is also involved in developing the delegation of medical tasks to non-physician technicians in requesting countries (Togo, Mali) as part of projects with the WHO.

These actions on the ground are accompanied by a search for funds from sponsors, in order to equip the hospitals with ultrasound equipment, an essential prerequisite for promoting these techniques at the sites supported.
